- Ransom Piersall was arrested in Buffalo and brought here by Deputy Morse to answer to the charge of procuring a coffin for his late wife by making false representations to undertaker App, who preferred the charge. The examination was had before Police Justice Garber and was a very interesting one, and occupied all of Thursday afternoon and Friday morning; Lawyer Landgraff for the prosecution, Wilder for the defense. At the close of the prosecution's case the prisoner gave bail for appearance at Court ... [3]
