    • During a severe thunder storm Monday, at Syracuse, Joseph Young who only a short time ago moved with his family from this place, was severely injured, and died in the hospital Thursday morning. Young was a glass blower, but it appears he had got a job until the factories resumed operations, working at salt block No. 38, located by the canal. When the wind was blowing its hardest, a portion of the wooden ___ was demolished and thrown back. Joe was struck by a heavy ___ which was hurled by the force of the wind from the shock. The blow was received by ___ upon the head and inflicted the wound which proved fatal. The skull was fractured. He leaves a large family, mostly small children, quite destitute. [1]
