Name Caspar Brikle [1] Gender Male Occupation 1877 - 1878 Cleveland, Oswego, New York [1]
Barber - Caspar Birkle, who for a long time was employed at the barber shop of George Oswald, in this village, and who after going into business at Cleveland, N.Y., found it necessary about a year ago, after a great deal of suffering, to have his left leg amputated, is now confined in the St. Elizabeth Hospital at Utica, with another swelling in his left thigh. He is a great sufferer, and it is feared little can be done toward bettering his condition, though he receives every necessary care. He is a young man of integrity, and has many friends in Oneida and Cleveland, who will learn with regret of present condition. [1]
Died 19 Oct 1878 [2] - After many months of great suffering, Caspar Birkle died last Saturday. Poor boy, his young life was full of sad affliction, from which death was a happy release; yet a feeling of pain pervades many hearts over his untimely fate. [2]
