  • Notes  Divorced:
    • The wife of W.H. Kirman, who was engaged in the barber business a short time in this village, returned with her little child to this place on Monday in search of her husband. Kirman quit business here last week, and a few days previous to his going, sent his wife to some relatives in Utica, telling her that he would not leave here till this week. She says that he sold off all the furniture, and has apparently deserted her. If this true, and it looks so, this is scarcely any punishment to serve such a villain. In such a degree of crime, there is no more base and heartless than such desertion of a wife and helpless children. Overseer of poor Odell furnished means for her to return to Utica. [1]
