  • Notes  Family Note:
    • Two of the people who helped [Dr. Marvin Brown and his wife Bee] the most in those early days were Ken and Molly Godfrey. Both were large-built, friendly and easygoing; Ken, especially, seemed to wear a perpetual grin. He was a sort of jack-of-all-trades in the area, and Molly was a cleaning woman. They supplemented their income by selling vegetables from their large garden and fish which they caught by ice-fishing on Oneida Lake in the winter. They were also caretakers for several lakeshore cottages. [1]
